Jim Hayford


Currently in his first year as head coach at Seattle University, Jim Hayford previously led the Eastern Washington to the top of the Big Sky Conference with two 20-win seasons in his final three years at the helm. In 2014-15, EWU finished as regular season co-champions of the league and went on to win the Big Sky Conference Tournament to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. For his efforts, Hayford was recognized as the league’s co-Coach of the Year as Eastern Washington finished with the most victories in its Division I history with a 27-9 final record. The NCAA Tournament appearance is the seventh in Hayford’s head coaching career as he previously led Whitworth to six appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament. For his career, Hayford holds a 360-174 (.674) record as a head coach over 18 seasons.
